The Gap Academic Programme follows the official guidelines written by the Ontario Ministry of Education.

include: Computer Science, Business Studies, Logical Thought, Keyboarding.
Physical Education In addition to the sections mandated by the provincial government, we also
include: Skating, Swimming, Outdoor co-operative sports, Skiing, Fitness Study.
Social Studies Contemporary Studies, Man In Society, Physical Geography, Global Geography,
Canadian History, European History, Western Civilization, The Renaissance.
Music In addition to the sections mandated by the provincial government, we also include: Music
Appreciation, Piano Instruction, Guitar Instruction, Music Theory, Lyrics, Music History, Reading Music.
Science In addition to the sections mandated by the provincial government, we also include: Life
Science, Earth Science, Space Science, Physical Science, Biology & Health, Environmental Science.
Personal Skills LD Survival Skills, Personal Awareness, Risk-taking, Independence, Academic
Determination, Initiation, Motivation, Study Skills, Organizational Skills, Self-esteem, Self-confidence, LD
Awareness, Ego Awareness, Independent Homework Skills.
N.B. Exact course load may vary year to year and will vary from student to student and from term to term.
Due to Ministry allowances for French exemptions, at this time, we are not offering French.

SCHOOL CALENDAR Our school year runs from September to mid June. Summer school (open only to Gap students) runs for five weeks during the month of July.
